“...boast a roaring live energy that continues to breathe life into the gig scene”
— Epigram
Born on the sticky floors of Bristol's DIY scene, Townhouses quickly became a force of nature. They spent their early years cutting teeth in every venue that would have them — refining a sound that falls between Classic Rock and Indie Sleaze that they call “Expensive Pub Rock”. If you imagine the canon of Rock 'n Roll as a wave, Townhouses embody the crest; regularly compared with the likes of The Who, The Buzzcocks, and The Stooges — breathing new life into a time gone by.
Since packing-out Bristol and London basements, they've only pushed the chaos further — touring the Netherlands, playing their first festivals, releasing their debut EP, being spotlighted on Radio X by John Kennedy, supporting Skating Polly (US) at London's legendary 100 Club, and most recently selling out Strangebrew in Bristol in partnership with immersive arts company Megaverse.
Now based in London, Townhouses continue to turn up the noise with a live EP and a slurry of singles coming in 2026. Townhouses bring the type of mayhem that reminds you why live music matters.
